The combo took on a very youthful St Georges who had vive 16 year olds in their team. Rushen took the lead when Craig Murphy opened the scoring after only 5 minutes following a defensive error. One minute later Jake Kelly showed great skill to make it 2-0.Batty forced Strivens into a good save before Andrew Moody made it 3-0 after 20 minutes following another mistake.Craig Murphy got his second after 35 minutes before Mark Connor pulled one back after a fine move. Substitute Kyle Lunn made it 5-1 on the hour when he scored at the second attempt. Jay Skelcher Maxwell pulled one back before Craig Murphy completed his hat trick on his debut converting a Snidal cross. St Georges never gave up and Mark Connor scored his second of the game to make it 6-3.

The premier league game saw St Georges win 6-2 with ex Rushen player Furo Davies the star of the night. Rushen opened the scoring after 7 minutes when Thomas pounced from a corner which wasn't cleared. Davies equalised after 24 minutes and a defensive mistake minutes later saw him score a second. After the interval he put Morling clear and he made no mistake. On the hour Quaye scored from a corner as he was left unmarked. After 80minutes a Davies cross was inadvertenly put into his own net by Maitland.Kearns couldn't hold onto a fierce Davies shot and Morrissey was on hand to score from close range. Rushen continued to battle and in the last minute Williams pulled one back after his initial effort was saved
