Rushen got off to a great start being 2 goals up in the opening 10 minutes. The first goal came when Ryan Crawley headed home a Steve Riding cross. It was Riding himself who added the second when he rifled home from outside the box. Rushen had plenty of chances to put the game to bed but couldn't convert the chances and inevitably Laxey pulled one back on one of their rare attacks. The second half saw Laxey come more into the game and Jordan Cooper levelled after Rushen gave the ball away. Laxey struck the bar before Cooper completed his hat trick with a fine strike. Rushen fought back and Matty Lamb levelled the scores direct from a free kick before Mike Williams scored the winner in injury time to give Rushen an important victory.
The combo team won 7-1 with 5 goals from Aaron Hawley 1 from Kyle Lunn which was his 100th for the club plus an own goal
